Shirley Walsh Swietlik, of Philadelphia, passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 94.

Shirley, a devoted mother to Valerie Hamrick. Loving grandmother to Jill (Dave) McDonough, Christine (Matt Dowling) Long and great grandmother to Meghan McDonough, Madison and Reagan Long.

Interment will take place after mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery 4268 Richmond Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19149

Patricia M. Leonhardt

Patricia M. Leonhardt, of Philadelphia, the beloved wife of the late Albert O. Leonhardt, passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 87.

Patricia was an “energizer bunny”, she was always ready to get the job done. In her rare moments of leisure, she would enjoy a Law and Order marathon from her husband’s chair.

She was such a perfectionist that she insisted on cutting the lawn by herself, including hand trimming with garden shears.

Although Pat was a very stubborn, strong-willed woman, she was the most generous person you could ever meet. She would give all she had for those that she loved.

Family was of the utmost importance to Patricia. All of her children knew, without a doubt, that they were supported in every decision that they made. She always had a way of making everyone feel that they were her favorite.

Patricia, a devoted mother to Susan (James) Rementer, Albert (Sherry) Leonhardt, Donna Dawson, Kathleen (the late Robert) Murphy and the late Gary (Theresa) Leonhardt. Loving grandmother of James, Jill, Tina, Albert, Christina, Bruce, Sabrina, Matthew, Christopher, Brian and Jason. Patricia is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Lawrence and his wife, Mary Ann Brzycki.

Colleen Dewees (nee Lamartine)

Colleen Dewees at the age of 63, passed away, surrounded by her very close family on November 18, 2023, from her year’s long battle of heart disease.  Colleen is preceded by her late mother, Elizabeth Lamartine and late father, Thomas Lamartine. Her brothers, Tommy Lamartine, Allen Lamartine, Jerry Lamartine, and her sister Kathleen Lamartine. 

Colleen was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. She attended and graduated from Saint Hubert’s high school. Colleen loved to host parties, the holidays and insisted on baking a cake for you if it was your birthday. Whether Colleen was taking care of her family members or patients at work, she always had a way to make people feel better on their worst days. Colleen was a nurse for 30 years and always put people before herself. 

Colleen is survived by fiancé Lou Worth, her four daughters, Nicole Dewees (Pete Knopf), Tiffany Dewees (Jay Harris), Jennifer Dewees (Bill Rouse), and Morgan Dewees. And her six grandchildren, Jason, Neveah, Marcol, Andrew, Billy, and Aaden. Her brother Tim Lamartine, and sisters, Eileen Carey, Dee Healey, and Holly Lamartine.

Colleen's services will be privately held.

Rosemarie Elizabeth Galloway

Rosemarie Elizabeth Galloway (nee Perez) passed away at her home on November 19, 2023 at the age of 83.

She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from Little Flower HS class of 1958.

Rosemarie will be dearly missed by her surviving loved ones, including her husband, former Philadelphia firefighter David A. Galloway Sr, her son, David A. Galloway Jr.,(Jennifer Guglielmi), her daughter, Stephanie E. Trabocco, (Tod J. Trabocco) and her three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Angelina and Nicholas Trabocco Rosemarie is predeceased by her mother Rose Angelino, and brother Gerard Perez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday Nov. 29th, 9:15-10:15am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church 3000 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia 19149.

Anne Marie Johnson

Anne Marie Johnson (nee Godfrey), aged 65, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023 after a long and courageous fight with breast cancer. Anne is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her father Thomas Sr., her brother Thomas Jr., and many beloved pets.

Anne is survived by her mother, Mary Godfrey, her children Gregory (Sarah) and Julianne (Matthew), sisters Donna, Kathleen (Francis), and Pat Pat (James), brothers William (Anna) and Stephen (Eileen), sister-in-law Elaine (Michael), brother-in-law Myles, her furbaby Scooter, nieces and nephews, and many true, lifelong friends.

Anne was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia where she attended St. Matthew’s School and St. Hubert’s Catholic High School for Girls. After high school, Anne worked at Schaaf’s Market before moving onto Wynne Bolt & Screw Co. where she met some of her lifelong friends. Anne then accepted a position at Philadelphia Telco Credit Union, before moving onto the mortgage industry, and then eventually to title insurance, a field she worked in for over 40 years.

Anne was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan. She loved reading, TV & movies, the beach, and any chance she got to spend time with family and friends. Anne was an animal lover and adored all of the pets adopted into the family over the years, especially her dog Molly, who will meet her at the Rainbow Bridge.

Sister Eileen McLoughlin Missionary Servant of the Most Blessed Trinity

Sister Eileen McLoughlin Missionary Servant of the Most Blessed Trinity, native of Jersey City, NJ, died on November 12, 2023. The Wake will take place at Blessed Trinity Motherhouse on Thursday evening, November 16, 2023 at 6:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Motherhouse Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 9:15 A.M. followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

George E. Fiorentino

On Wednesday, November 8th, at the age of 72. George was the beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Mullins) and the dear step-father of Kathleen Smith-Bast and Thomas Smith (Suzanne). George was the dear grandfather of Christie Gale (Matthew) and Robert Bast. He will be sadly missed by his great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason. George is also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was an avid collector of GI-Joe's and a hugh Buffalo Bill's fan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend George's funeral service on Saturday, November 18th at 10:30AM. Where a visitation will be held from 9-10:30AM, located at John F. Fluehr and Sons Funeral Home 3301 Cottman Ave. Phila. PA. 19149. Interment will be private.

Susan K. Boddy

Susan Kathleen Conners Boddy died peacefully in her home on October 29, 2023. She was 71 years old.

Sue loved to write poetry, make clothes and crochet. Her favorite activities were caring for dozens of children, going to the Renaissance Faire and adopting wolves from sanctuaries. Sue was also a dedicated election poll worker.

She was the wife of the late James D. Boddy, who died in 1999; daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard E Connors; Sister of the late Richard T Connors; survived by nieces and nephews and loved by many friends and neighbors.

Kenneth L. Fruh

Kenneth L. Fruh, of Philadelphia, passed away on November 2, 2023, at the age of 79.

Kenneth was a retired Philadelphia Firefighter.

Beloved husband of the late Maryanne P. Fruh. Kenneth was the brother of Arlene Burke and Carole Heidinger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary "Jane" Lopacinski (nee McKeon)

Mary "Jane" Lopacinski (nee McKeon) on November 2nd at the age of 92.

Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Loving mother of Lynn L. Radnich (Robert), Jane Paynter (Robert) and the late Robert (Karen). Dear grandmother of Robert (Erin), Michael, Rachel, Kylie, Dylan, and great grandmother of Riley. Jane was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Quitmeyer and her brother Thomas McKeon.
