Marc Thomas White was born on January 18, 1969 and made his final transition the evening of July 2, 2024 at the young age of 55. It’s hard to narrow his favorite moments down, but to mention a few: he enjoyed working on cars, cleaning or riding his motorcycle, and sharing meals with family and friends.
Marc is survived by his wife Stacey, his sisters Lillian (Dan) and Brenda, his brother Matt, his children: Shana (Robert), Corey (Stacy), Christy, Brittany (Shawn), Kimberly, Megan (Garrett), Devin (Ashlee), and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father William and mother Lillian.
Marc lived his life the best he knew and left this earth wishing that his children would find safety in this mixed-up world. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
Marc’s viewing will begin at 9:00 AM at John F. Fluehr & Sons, Inc. funeral home in Philadelphia, PA on July 9th. His funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM there. Following the service, we will be traveling to Bethel Memorial in Pennsauken, NJ where he will be buried.
She grew up in a boisterous, loving family, and is preceded in death by her seven siblings (Fran, Don, Nan, Kathy, Agnes, Dick, and Eileen) and her parents (Ann and Francis Cavanaugh). She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Walter Sawyer, their five children and spouses (Steve and Kathy, Dave and Vicki, Anne and Dave (Oakes), Don and Sue, and Bob and Jennifer), 12 grandchildren (Tim, Kristiann, Joanna, Joe, Paul, Susie, Dan, Tyler, Carolyn, Rory, Rachel, and Colin) and 7 great-grandchildren (Emmett, Milo, Jonah, Bear, Ollie, Liam, and CeCe). She was intelligent, quick-witted, loving, and strong. She was a shrewd bridge player.
One of her great loves was her family, both her children and her siblings. Even at 98, she was still sending birthday cards with a gift inside. Another love was the Jersey shore. As a child, she was one of the “shoebies,” taking the train from Philly with some food and a bathing suit tucked inside a shoebox. When she had a family of her own, she made trips to the shore and her parents in Wildwood Crest an annual event. These little vacations were such a memory maker that her children carry on the tradition to this day. With her quick smile and gentle wit, Jean made her world a better place.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jean's viewing from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by a mass, on July 8 at St. Bernard’s Church (Cottage & Bleigh St). Instead of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernard’s Church or Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls.
