Michael Joseph Kozak, our dear brother, died suddenly on Monday March 18th at the age of 66.
Michael was born on May 17th, 1952 to the late Michael L. Kozak and Hannah E. Kozak (Creely) in Philadelphia. He graduated from Father Judge High School and the University of Pennsylvania. He also attained advanced degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Michael was a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and a published author who was very highly regarded by his colleagues and the many clients he assisted throughout his 30+ year career as a researcher, therapist, mentor, and most recently serving as an administrator at the National Institutes for Mental Health in Bethesda, MD. He was a connoisseur and collector of wine, an exceptional cook and well versed in music and civil war history. He enjoyed writing poetry and was a lifelong learner who pursued knowledge to a depth not realized by many.
