With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Christian Knopf, 50, of Cherry Hill, NJ, who passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, surrounded by his family after a three-year battle with appendiceal cancer.
Born on December 27, 1974, in Collings Lakes, New Jersey, Pete was the son of the late Rosemarie Ertl and the late Manfred Knopf. He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole Knopf, his cherished daughter, Emilie Nicole Knopf, and his beloved bonus children, Micheal Barnes, Marcol Caraballo, and Andrew Diodonet.
He is also survived by his sister, Diana Christina Knopf, nieces Jasmine Bella (husband Tom Wright-Piersanti and son Henry Bella-Piersanti) and Brittany Bella (husband David Lange and daughter Aurora Lange).
Pete worked as a Parts Manager at Genesis of Cherry Hill in Marlton, NJ, doing what he loved most—working with cars. He proudly stayed in touch with friends from grade school and had many passions, including working on cars at home, trying new foods, traveling, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family.
Pete will be remembered for his pride in his German heritage, loyal friendship, deep love for his family, and an undeniable sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and smile.
A private celebration of life will be held in his honor by invitation.
