Jean Margaret Weiss, a loving and kind woman cherished by all who knew her, passed away on September 22, 2025. Born on December 30, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA, Jean's warmth and gentle spirit left lasting impressions on friends and family alike throughout her long and meaningful life.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, B. Robert Weiss. Together, they shared countless memories, especially their cherished trips to Cape May and Lancaster, where they enjoyed the simplicity and beauty of time spent together.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kim Chambers; her beloved niece, Susan; grandchildren Richard, Sarah, Alicia, Nicole, and Gabrielle; and many great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and family devotion.
Jean had a deep love for animals, and she found joy in the little pleasures of life—carrot cake and a warm cup of coffee among them. Her presence brought comfort, and her nurturing heart touched generations of her family.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at John F. Fluehr and Sons Funeral Home, 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.
Jean's memory will be forever treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness, and gentle spirit continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
