It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary E., 93, who left us on September 11, 2025. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Mary was born on October 8, 1931, and lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John N. Sucich.

Mary's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children, Nicholas J. Sucich (Theresa) and Liz Hathaway, who will forever carry her love and wisdom in their hearts. She was the devoted grandmother to Brittney (Anthony), Nicholas III, Matthew, Amelia and Luke, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Cooper, and Parker. She is also survived by her devoted In-laws, nieces, nephews and life long friends.

Throughout her 93 years, Mary exemplified grace, kindness, and strength. She was known for her wicked sense of humor, generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome in her home. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass celebrating her wonderful life on Saturday, October 11, 2025 10 A.M., family will receive guest after 9 A.M. for prayer and reflection at Maternity B.V.M. Church 9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Central Association for the Miraculous Medal, 475 E. Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia Pa 19144.

Mary will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her husband John, her mother Mary,  brothers Thomas, Paul (Buddy) and Jack Schwemmer.
