Anna O. Perrong

Anna O. Perrong

Anna Perrong (Osinski)

Anna passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 at home in Sellersville, PA.

Anne (as she preferred) was born on July 27, 1924 in Sellersville, PA. She was raised in Philadelphia's Art Museum area and was educated at Girls High School (graduated 1941) then went onto Temple University School of Pharmacy (graduated 1944), where she met her future husband, John Pierce Perrong.
She participated in numerous (Rho Psi) sorority functions during her years at Temple. Anne and John were married after he returned from World War II where he served as an Army medic in Germany.

Anne started her career at Dupont as a chemist and later worked at Sharp & Dohme as a research chemist while John Pierce pursued a career in pharmaceutical sales & as a pharmacist.

Anne and John moved into a new home in Northeast Philadelphia in 1950.  They had two children, a son Robert, (born 1950) and a daughter, Carolyn (born 1960)

Anne took time out from her career to raise her children but after the children matured, she went back to work as a pharmacist at Germantown Hospital (1968 - 1991) and later volunteered there for over 20 years. Aside from her pharmacy career and being a homemaker, she played cello in the Olney Symphony Orchestra (for nearly 50 years) and was active in several string quartet groups.  Additionally Anne served as Personnel Chairman for the Olney Symphony.  She still remains in contact with many friends she made over the years in music.

Anne also enjoyed tending to her beautiful gardens at her home in NE Philadelphia and helped to tend the gardens in her recent home in Sellersville. Her favorite activities have always included making family holiday dinners. Besides her two children Anna has two grandchildren, Jon and Rob, and two great-grand daughters Emma and Ava which happen to be identical twins.  Additionally she has a very supportive son-in-law, Sean Corsaut, and a loving daughter-in-law, Karen Perrong. We will all miss the love, wisdom and dignity of our Anne.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Friday, January 10 at 9:00 am - 10:15 am and funeral mass 10:30 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church 445 Main St. Sellersville, Pa. 18960. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
