Jean K. Brightcliffe, (nee Barber) formerly of Mayfair passed away on Sunday March 29, 2020 at Temple University Hospital at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late William E. Brightcliffe. Devoted mother of Jeanne Brightcliffe, Kenneth Brightcliffe (Dorothy), the late William E. Brightcliffe and the late John E. Brightcliffe. Loving Nana of 12 and great grandmother of 15. Dear sister of the late Edward R. & Robert F. Barber.
Jean attended St. William’s Parrish School grades 1 through 8 and then went on to become a proud graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls in 1947. Jean remained close to Little Flower for many years after joining the Alumni Committee and running her year’s class reunions. Jean’s last work was on their 60th Reunion!
Jean loved nothing more than being involved in first, her children’s activities, then her Grand children’s and finally her Great Grandchildren’s! Weekends were spent attending football games, baseball games, basketball games and hockey games while fitting in a dance recital or two when it was the girls turn to shine! Nothing made Jean happier than cheering on her favorites.
Jean was a loving wife, an adoring Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She never seemed to meet someone who didn’t become a friend. Jean’s warm personality and lovely smile will truly be missed!
A Memorial Gathering and Funeral Mass will be scheduled at a late date.
