Jodie E. Craddock, of Philadelphia, transitioned peacefully at his home on August 6, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born and raised in Philadelphia where he resided his entire life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army serving in Vietnam earning a Purple Heart.
He worked most of his life for an aerospace company before retiring in 2014. He had a gift for gardening and enjoyed bird watching but his greatest passion was his family and Philadelphia sports teams.
Jodie was predeceased by his beloved wife Whaneta. Surviving are his five children Jodie and Marie of Alexandria, VA, Michael and his wife Tiffany of Brick, NJ, Eric of Philadelphia, PA, Eleanora of Alexandria, VA; and Jeffrey of Philadelphia, PA. Jodie is also survived by his brothers Joseph and George Craddock, his grandchildren India and Nathaniel, and his dear friend-son-chef and confidant, Kevin Young.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jodie's veiwing Wednesday August 14th 6:00-9:00 PM at John F. Fluehr and Sons Inc. 3301 Cottman Ave Philadelphia PA 19149.. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Veterans Multi-Service Center
