Blair Francis Wertz

Blair Francis Wertz age 71, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on February 22, 2024.

Blair was born on January 22, 1953 to the late Mary and Harry Wertz of Philadelphia, PA. Blair is survived by the love of his life, Sandy Dwyer and his children Danielle Hanko, Nicole Wertz, Travis Grimes and Billy Dwyer. Grandfather “Crazy Poppy” of Darius Hanko, Sienna Doherty, Travis Grimes and Tiara Grimes. Loving brother of Geary Wertz, Craig Wertz, Janel Wertz, Gayle Chatelain and the late Duane Wertz. Adored by his nieces, nephews and their extended families.

Blair was a hardworking man, who even after retirement couldn’t stand sitting around. At the age of 70 went out and obtained a job that he absolutely loved, gaining new friends along the way in his fellow coworkers. He was a Certified Flagger for Wright of PA contracting.

Blair will always be remembered for his kind personality, sense of humor and easy smile. We couldn’t of asked for a better person in the world to have a plethora of stories to share about with whoever will listen. He was a huge Phillies and Eagles fan and will be missed every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Tuesday, February 27, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Followed by his Funeral Service at 6:00pm at John F. Fluehr & Sons, Inc Funeral Home , 3301 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19149. There will be a private gathering after the service for family.
