With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Richard Francis Alley age 65, who passed away peacefully on Monday February 12, 2024 . Ricky was a true Philadelphian through and through, with an unwavering passion for sports, Snoopy, and collecting sports memorabilia.
Born and raised in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Ricky's love for his city and its sports teams, especially the Phillies, was evident to all who knew him. He could often be found cheering on his beloved teams or engaging in lively debates about their latest victories and defeats.
Beyond his love for sports, Ricky had a soft spot for his canine companion, Bonnie, whom he cherished taking on long walks through the streets of Mayfair, where he spent his later years.
Richard Francis Alley was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anna Alley, and siblings Gloria, Linda, and Joseph. Richard is survived by his loving sister, Deborah Alley. He is survived by a large extended family, including nieces and nephews Gloria and Brian Hehl and their son Nicholas, Joseph and Pamela Alley and their son Philip, Megan Alley and her daughter Morgan, Kimberly Ruiz Alley and Gabe Ruiz and their son Julian and Natalie Alley, and their respective families, who will dearly miss his presence and warmth.
Among his closest confidants were his cherished 'cuz' Victoria Pace Falvey, her husband Walt, and their children Vickie and Michael, who brought him immense joy and laughter.
Ricky's larger-than-life personality, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be treasured by those whose lives he enriched with his presence.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Richard's visitation Wednesday February 21, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM at John F. Fluehr and Sons Inc. 3301 Cottman Ave Philadelphia PA 19149. A Service will Follow at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
