Joseph Roman Fedorowycz, 71, of Philadelphia, PA died on July 26, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Trendler Fedorowycz for 47 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 7, 1952, Joe was the son of the late Ewhen Fedorowycz and the late Olga Swierzewski. He graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in 1970.
Joe was a Lot Officer for The Philadelphia Parking Authority for many years before retiring in 2019. Early in his career, he worked for Acme markets in their warehouse for 20 years.
Joe was a Mason and member of the Scottish rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Joseph Fedorowycz, Denice Fedorowycz and her husband, Sean Hanley, and Donna Fedorowycz(Donald Wallace), five grandchildren; Joseph Jr., Chelsey, Fallynn, Nora, and Donald and one great-grandson, Noah, his sister Mary and many nieces and nephews. He is one of eight children with seven brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Walter and Jerry and by his sisters, Helen, Zena, Nadia, and Luba.
Joe had a big love for animals along with many other things. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors, fishing, reading, and collecting books, history, and science. He was always interested in learning new things and knew something about everything. He was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever he could. He will be remembered for enjoying a good laugh and for his big heart.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 10:00 -11:30 AM, John F. Fluehr & Sons, 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, where a Masonic Service will begin at 11:00 AM, and Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
