Anthony J. McGee, Jr.
Age: 21 of Lafayette Hill, PA
Passed away suddenly on June 17, 2023. AJ was the cherished son of Davette (nee Shaw) and Anthony McGee, Sr.; adoring brother and best friend of Carly McGee; loving grandson of Helen Shaw and Rose and the late Bill McGee. AJ will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
AJ attended St. Philip Neri grade school, before graduating from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. AJ was embarking on his new career as an electrician out of IBEW local 269 where he started his career with MJF and most recently worked with Armour & Sons Electric.
AJ was very free spirited and lived to the beat of his own drum. He never had a bad day or anything other than a smile on his face for 21 years. AJ was always the life of the party and his contagious demeanor always left everyone with a smile and a good time. His personality was second to none. If you had the privilege to know AJ, then your life was surely filled with great memories, love, and laughs. The kind of laughs that make your cheeks hurt and eyes water but it’s contagious and you can’t stop.
AJ was the karaoke king. If there was a microphone, AJ found it and was singing his heart out. If he was singing, he was dancing. If he wasn’t singing, he was probably still dancing. His dance moves were the opposite of graceful and didn’t require a dance floor. Backyards, bars, the beach, the car, any space with a 2 foot radius qualified as a stage for AJ.
During the summer months you could find AJ at the beach, riding jet skis, or enjoying a long ride on his motorcycle. AJ had many hobbies, but his favorite by far was spending time with his friends and family.
A celebration honoring AJ’s life will take place on Saturday, July 8th from 4pm-8pm where his memorial service will begin at 5pm at the Great American Pub, 123 Fayette St, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Casual attire preferred.
