Caroline M. Kachur
Loving wife of the late Nicholas Kachur. Devoted mother of Nick Kachur (Diana) and Michael Kachur. Beloved sister of the late Joseph Pinto. Dear grandmother of Allison Lebeda (Matthew), Matthew Kachur (Erika), Genna Kachur and Brian Kachur. Great grandmother of four and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Caroline grew up in Scranton where she was very close with her oldest brother (Joseph Pinto). Her family moved to South Philadelphia, where she graduated from West Philly High. After she married Nick Kachur, May 22,1954 she started a family of her own!
Caroline was a devoted Catholic, went to church, and kids were alter boys while growing up.
Worked 30+ years for the Archdiocese and enjoyed her time working for Milton Shapp.
Caroline was very Family oriented. She was the main caregiver for her mother when she was ill. She went on yearly vacations with the family, and they enjoyed their time down the shore and up the mountains.
After the passing of her husband, she moved south to help care for her oldest grandchildren (Allison & Matthew). Then with the birth of 4th grandchild moved back to Philadelphia to help care for her youngest grandchildren (Genna & Brian).
She lived her Senior years where she was known by all, at the Sidewater House. Very active in events that took place. Anything from Bingo, Arts & Crafts to participating in all festive occasions.
She enjoyed attending school and sporting events for her grandchildren as well. Never missing any mile stone event in their lives.
She will be remembered by all who loved her for the caring and devoting person that she was. Her stories will be missed, but she is now at peace and with her loved ones who went before her.
Per her wishes, the family will have a private gathering to remember her.
